Jake Johnson’s
Fairmont Town Hall
was a Success!
The large basement room in the library was packed! Jake started off with personal history and quickly opened the floor to questions. Off to the side was a sign tracking Jake’s town hall meetings vs Brad Finstad 22 to 0.
As he said, he wants to know the people he will be working for and vows to continue these town hall meetings when elected.
Jake is thoughtful and well spoken and family oriented. It is clear that he has the knowledge, energy and compassion to push a balanced adgenda forward. He already has his eye on 3 major committees that impact life in southern Minnesota.
Sending Jake Johnson and Peggy Flanigan to Washington is the critical reason we need to vote in November. Sending our other DFL candidates to state positions is just as vital! Vote in November!

National debt escalates as the Republican government borrows to cover military spending, tax cuts, and social programs. These are not investments in infrastructure or the future.
These are frivolous expenditures on wars of choice, ballrooms, lawsuits, illegal tariffs, and breaks for the rich and big corporations. It is all on our backs and our children’s mortgaged futures.
Republicans: Conservatives In Name Only (CINO)
The only way to regain control of the debt is to increase taxes and reduce expenditure. Why not match $1 of new tax with $1 reduced expenditure.
Sounds fair? $1 for $1
(sounds like something the Democrats would think up)

As Ike said in 1953, “Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.”
